So, what’s the scoop with today’s weather? Well, there’s a weak trough of low pressure hanging out over the eastern parts of the country—kind of like a lazy weekend visitor that just won’t leave. Meanwhile, the air is getting cozy with some humid northeast to southeast winds, making it feel a little steamy out there!

Forecast until midnight tomorrow for the Fiji archipelago:

Today:
Expect a mix of cloudy patches with showers trying to make an appearance over the Lau and Lomaiviti region. Elsewhere? It should be mostly fine, although—spoiler alert—you might want to keep an umbrella nearby for those afternoon or evening showers that are expected to crash the party. Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, get ready for some thunderstorms with heavy showers that promise to give you a good drenching!

Tomorrow:
It’s time for the clouds to fluff up again, bringing showers to places like Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and more. The other areas might just be ‘fine’ but be warned: those sneaky afternoon or evening showers can always pop up. And yes, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, hold onto your raincoats, because the thunderbolts are on their way back!

Winds are moderate, shifting a bit to predominantly easterly tomorrow—think of it as a gentle push from behind as you try to dodge the rain. Likewise, the seas are moderate, so avoid any pirate adventures until it calms down a bit.

Looking ahead to Wednesday:
More clouds and some scatterings of showers will float through the usual suspects: Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and southern parts of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. But hey, it’s still looking ‘fine’ for the rest of us, apart from those cheeky afternoon and evening thunderstorms.

Now, if you’re keen on the temperatures:
