Alright, weather enthusiasts, listen up! Our forecast guru has informed us that a low-pressure trough has decided to take a leisurely stroll over the southern parts of Fiji, bringing along some friends—clouds, showers, and a chance of thunderstorms for the next few days. So, if you feel a sudden urge to dance in the rain, now might just be your time!

Forecast until midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Expect occasional showers, which may turn into a splash fest with heavy downpours and thunderstorms over the fine islands of Kadavu, Lomaiviti, and southern Lau group (including Yasayasa Moala). If you are in the Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu North, Naitasiri, Interior Ra, Cakaudrove, Southern Bua, Taveuni, or any of the nearby smaller islands, prepare for a cloudy affair with some showers, a side order of isolated thunderstorms, and heavy falls. There’s nothing like an outdoor drama of nature to liven up a Saturday!

Oh, and if you’re anywhere else today, just a heads-up—cloudy periods with brief showers will be making guest appearances, with a chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm event that could result in some soggy shoes due to flash flooding, so keep those raincoats handy!

Winds will be moderate to fresh from the east to northeast, while the sea will be quite calm (perfect for a dip between downpours!).

Outlook for Sunday: The rain clouds aren’t packing up just yet! Expect more showers, isolated thunderstorms, and heavy falls across Navua-Suva-Nausori, Serua-Namosi, Tailevu North-Naitasiri-Ra, and the usual southern suspects (Kadavu and nearby islands, Lau, and Lomaiviti group). The rest of you will also see some afternoon or evening showers, just in case you thought the sun would finally get a turn on stage.
