Weather Bulletin

Alright, folks, it looks like the weather is taking a bit of a break from the sunshine and opting for a cozy shower party instead! A slow-moving trough of low pressure is huddled over the eastern parts of our beautiful islands, while our faithful northwest to southwest winds are doing their thing. However, don’t get too comfy; another active trough is peeking over the horizon to the north of Fiji, and it looks geared up to join the fun from Wednesday!
Let’s dive into tomorrow’s forecast before I get too carried away:
For Kadavu and its smaller buddies, Lomaiviti, Lau group, and Cikobia, expect occasional showers with a sprinkle of isolated thunderstorms—talk about a thunderous welcome! The rest of you in Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Naitasiri-Tailevu North, Ra-Rakiraki, Cakaudrove, and southern Bua, prepare for cloudy periods with some showers, like a fluffy blanket over your day.
Everywhere else? It’s mainly fine, but don’t forget to keep an eye out for isolated afternoon or evening showers, and maybe one of those dramatic thunderstorms that like to crash the party. Heavy falls in the afternoon or evening could turn some low-lying areas into mini rivers, so be careful where you tread!
And let’s not forget about our trusty moderate northwest to southwest winds, ensuring that seas remain moderate—a perfect day for a sail as long as you’re steering clear of those stormy personalities.
Now, looking ahead to Thursday, expect cloudy periods with brief showers in the same regions mentioned. Fine conditions should be lurking around elsewhere, but keep your umbrella ready for those afternoon or evening antics.
For our Navua, Suva, and Nausori residents: prepare for cloudy days with some showers and the occasional dramatic thunderstorm. Temperatures will hang out between 24°C and 31°C, so it should be a comfortable, albeit damp, day.
Natadradave and Korovou will face similar gloomy pillow fights in the sky, while Sigatoka and the Coral Coast will maintain mostly fine days, with just a sprinkle of afternoon surprises (thanks to those cheeky showers and thunderstorms).
Moving on to Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba—thing will be mainly fine too, but do keep an eye out for those afternoon parade of showers.
The Yasawa and Mamanuca group are in for a treat, as they relax under mainly fine skies with a sprinkle of heat.
As for Rotuma? Well, it seems like it’s truly in the thick of a heavy rain situation, with showers and the occasional thunderstorm keeping things lively.
So there you have it! Weather might be serving up a mix of cloudy days, showers, and the occasional thunderstorm, but hey, this is just nature’s way of keeping us entertained. Stay safe, dry, and maybe a little bit giggly as you navigate the weather this week!
