Fiji Weather Forecast: Trough Brings Widespread Showers, Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain with Flash Flood Risk Across Fiji

Weather Update
Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi

Hold onto your umbrellas, folks! We’ve got a low-pressure trough waltzing its way southward and bringing along a few friends—clouds and showers. Yep, it’s party time in Fiji, and everyone’s invited!

Forecast until midnight tomorrow for our lovely islands:
We’re talking occasional showers with some possible thunderstorms that may go heavy over Vanua Levu, Taveuni, and the Yasawa group. Think of it as nature’s own surprise party. The Interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu, from Sigatoka to Tailevu North, along with Kadavu and nearby islands, might see a few dramatic thunderclaps and some heavy rain. If you’re out and about, be prepared for the chance of getting drenched!

For the rest of us, expect partly cloudy skies with a side of afternoon or evening showers. And yes, a couple of isolated thunderstorms might decide to crash the party too.

Watch out! Isolated heavy rainfall could lead to that lovely flash flooding in low-lying areas, so keep your flotation devices handy.

We’ve got moderate to fresh east to northeast winds blowing through, and seas that might be moderate to rough—perfect for a surf contest!

Now, looking ahead to Tuesday, the forecast serves up more of the same: occasional showers, some heavy falls, and isolated thunderstorm action in the Interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu and surrounding islands. So keep your rain gear close by!
