Ladies and gentlemen, it appears the weather gods have decided to sprinkle a touch of moisture on our beloved islands. An easterly wind flow is lazily cruising over Fiji, while a mischievous trough of low pressure is gearing up to crash the party from the north. Expect some cloud cover and showers to start mingling with the northern and eastern parts of Fiji come Monday.
As for the forecast leading up to midnight tomorrow across the Fiji group, get ready for some cloudy periods featuring unexpected brief showers, especially in the interior and eastern sections of Macuata, Southern Bua, and the lovely island of Taveuni. The same goes for Viti Levu’s interior and eastern shores, from Serua-Namosi all the way up to Tailevu North, not to mention Kadavu and our delightful smaller islands, as well as the Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
In other areas, expect a bit of cloudiness with isolated showers showing up uninvited in the afternoon or evening. Oh, and don’t be surprised if those pesky thunderstorms decide to join the mix as well. The winds will be moderate, gently pushing us east-southeast, and the seas will be serenely moderate too—perfect for contemplating life decisions while gazing at the waves.
Looking ahead to Monday, things might get a tad moody. Expect gloomy clouds, showers, and the possibility of some thunderous booms in the southeastern parts of Viti Levu—think of it as nature’s free concert. So, if you’re in Sigatoka, Korolevu, or other highlighted regions, prepare for isolated heavy falls that may just sweep you off your feet (literally). Elsewhere, it will be partly cloudy with likely afternoon or evening rain showers, again with potential heavy downpours—a good reason to keep those umbrellas handy!
