Weather Update

Good evening, folks! As we check in with our resident weather apparatus here at the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi, it looks like our friendly, moist easterly wind flow is back in action—probably the same one from last week’s tropical tea party!

Now, let’s break down what’s going on until midnight tomorrow for our beautiful Fijian isles. Expect clouds to play peek-a-boo with the sun, along with some cheeky showers over places like Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and many more (the list goes on, I’m afraid; these guys are quite popular)! Meanwhile, other areas might enjoy the sunny side of life, with just a minor chance for some afternoon or evening drizzles to keep things interesting.

Take cover though! Thunderstorms with a touch of dramatic flair are on schedule over Viti Levu and Vanua Levu—heavy rain may also crash the party, and we don’t want any low-lying areas getting swept away in the excitement.

As for our local winds? Moderately easterly—just enough to whisk your hat away if you’re not careful. And don’t forget about the seas! They’re moderately frothy as well—perfect for a bit of nautical fun as long as you don’t bring along your paper boat!

Now, let’s peek at Saturday’s forecast: Same old, same old! Cloudy periods and brief showers are back for the usual suspects. Thunderstorms are still ready to steal the show over Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
