Today, we’re rolling in with some fine weather across most of the islands, except for a few rebellious patches in southeastern Viti Levu, Southern Bua, and Cakaudrove provinces, plus the Lau and Lomaiviti groups. They just can’t resist a brief shower! If you’re in Navua, Suva, or Nausori, keep an umbrella nearby, just in case the sky decides to play peek-a-boo with the rain.
Tomorrow, expect a bit of a mood swing from our friendly atmosphere. It will be cloudy and temperamental with showers threatening to drop in on southeastern Viti Levu, Southern Bua, and Cakaudrove, as well as Lau and Lomaiviti. The rest of you will enjoy mostly fine weather, but don’t let your guard down; an afternoon shower could crash your afternoon BBQ party!
Along with the clouds, we might also hear some sassy thunder in the western half of Viti Levu, particularly over Ba/Ra, Rakiraki, and Lautoka. Those thunderclouds could be feeling a bit dramatic, so if you see one rolling in, maybe make a quick sprint indoors!
Winds will be cruising in from the southeast today, giving you a nice breeze to cool off. But hold onto your hats – tomorrow they’ll be freshening up, and according to sea reports, it’s best to keep your beach activities to a minimum as the seas turn moderate to rough. No one wants to engage in an unsanctioned surf contest with Mother Nature!
Looking ahead to Saturday, those moody clouds aren’t going anywhere. Expect the same cast of characters: cloudy skies and a chance of showers, especially making an appearance in Serua-Namosi and the southern provinces.
