Weather Update
Greetings from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi! Buckle up, as your weather ride is set to take a rollercoaster plunge that even the bravest of hearts might not be ready for!
Currently, we have a nice east to northeasterly breeze that’s just flitting about over the Fiji group like a flirtatious butterfly. However, a more serious cast of clouds is making its way from the east, bringing with it a spattering of showers and some lovely thunder to boot! This can only be described as nature’s way of reminding us that it likes to keep us on our toes.
Expect a mix of cloudy patches with some cheeky showers and possible thunderstorms, particularly over the Eastern part of Viti Levu, including the always lively Greater Suva and Nausori areas, plus a few more unsuspecting regions like Interior Ra and Naitasiri. If you are anywhere near Southern Bua or Eastern Cakaudrove provinces, grab that umbrella! And for those chilling in Lau and Lomaiviti, Kadavu, and its pals, they’re also in for a splashy surprise.
Most of the rest of you can expect a fine-ish day, but don’t skimp out on that raincoat just yet, as some afternoon or evening showers and thunder might crash your outdoor party. We’ll have local heavy falls that could lead to flash floods—definitely not the kind of splash zone you want to encounter unless you’re at a water park.
As for those winds, they’re moderate but can be a bit rambunctious at times, especially during those heavy rainfalls and thunderstorms. So, hold onto your hats, or they just might become a part of the scenery!
And now, for the delightful forecast for the coming days:
For Navua / Suva / Nausori: Expect those cloudy periods sprinkled with showers and a side of isolated thunderstorms. Today’s max is sizzling at 31, while tomorrow’s forecast is offering a night-time snuggle of 25 and another 31 for the daytime!
For Natadradave/Korovou: It’s a similar story. 31 looks to be the max today, and the forecast is keeping the temperature steady with tomorrow’s 25 min and 31 max!
For the lovely Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Like the others, you’re in for cloudy periods with some showers and storms. Today’s max is a warm 32, with tomorrow’s forecast promising a cozy 25 and a slightly toastier 34.
Over in Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: The sun is playing nice for most of the day—until it decides to send some thunderous guests your way in the afternoon. Today’s max is a blazing 34, and tomorrow, you’ll feel a gentle drop to a min of 24 with another 34 on the horizon.
For Tavua/Rakiraki, Yasawa/Mamanuca group, and Labasa, you all can expect the same sunny spells with stormy interruptions. 34 is the magic number everywhere!
In Savusavu, Nabouwalu, and Taveuni, your forecast can be summed up with the classic “cloudy with showers and the occasional thunder hug”! Max at 32 today.
For Lau and Lomaiviti: It’s cloudy with a drizzle of charm and a stormy twist! Your max today is 32, and you’ll start tomorrow with a comfy min of 25.
Finally, for Rotuma: A vibrant breeze today, with some brief showers that might turn into more shenanigans later. Enjoy your max of 33 and gear up for a 25 min tomorrow.
Wednesday outlook promises a similar streak of cloudiness and droplets extending across the group. Stay dry, stay breezy, and remember to embrace those raindrops—they’re just nature’s version of free therapy!
