Weather Update

Greetings, sunshine seekers and umbrella enthusiasts! This is your friendly weather guacamole, fresh from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi, where we’ve got the weather scoop straight out of the sky at 3:30 PM on Thursday, July 24, 2025. So grab your raincoat (or your flip-flops, depending on your location) and get ready for a forecast that’ll make you feel all sorts of things!

So here’s the sitch: We’ve got a southeast wind blowing across the region like a gentle reminder that Mother Nature has her own idea of personal space. And hold onto your rain boots, because a troublesome trough of low pressure is about to crash the party, especially in the eastern parts of our beautiful archipelago starting tomorrow!

Here’s what to expect from now until midnight tomorrow for our lovely Fiji group:

**Today:** Think of cloudy periods as the sky’s way of hinting at “light shower dates” in Sigatoka-Korolevu, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, parts of Bua, Cakaudrove, Lau, Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and those cute little islands nearby. For the rest of you? Sunshine galore! Just remember, it’ll be cooler at night—perfect for those who enjoy cozying up under a blanket. Expect moderate to fresh southeast winds and seas that are a bit moody.

**Tomorrow:** The forecast is serving up occasional showers with a side of isolated heavy falls for Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, and Ra—so keep your galoshes handy, folks! We advise everyone to stay vigilant, as those localized heavy falls might lead to some unexpected splash zones in low-lying areas. Meanwhile, Kadavu and friends will also receive cloudy periods and some delightful showers. The rest of you can bask in the mainly fine weather. Don’t forget, it’s going to be cool at night—perfect for avocado toast and nights in.

**Outlook for Saturday:** It seems to be a “raining cats and dogs” theme continuing, especially in the same areas mentioned earlier, with the same cozy nighttime vibes.

**Now, let’s focus on the different regions:**

– **Navua/Suva/Nausori:** Prepare for showers today and occasional drizzles tomorrow. Temperature min: 20, max: 29. Cool nights await you!

– **Nadi/Lautoka/Ba:** Mainly fine and dandy! Tomorrow, temperature min: 20, max: 30. Enjoy those cool nights!

– **Tavua/Rakiraki & Yasawa/Mamanuca group:** Mainly fine and dandy, with cool nights. Tomorrow’s range: Min: 20, Max: 30.

– **Labasa & Savusavu:** Time for some cloudiness sprinkled with showers. Min: 19/20, Max: 29/31.

– **Nabouwalu & Taveuni:** Cloudy vibes with some showers ahead. Min: 20, Max: 29/30.

– **Lau and Lomaiviti Group & Kadavu:** You guessed it, showers are in the forecast. Cool nights will still be in style!

– **Rotuma:** You’ve got a weak trough to share the love, which means cloudiness and some showers, including isolated thunderstorms. Min: 24, Max: 31 for tomorrow.

So, there you have it, folks! Whether you’re dancing in the rain or soaking up the sunshine, stay safe and enjoy our beautiful island weather. Don’t forget your umbrellas and perhaps a good book—because who doesn’t love staying cozy on a rainy day?
