Weather Update
Good morning, Fiji! It’s your trusty weather guide here with the latest update that might actually feature more showers than a soap opera marathon!
As we kick off the day, a weak trough of low pressure is lounging around, casting its gloomy cloud blanket over the eastern parts of our beautiful land. Kind of like that neighbor who drops by unannounced but brings cookies – we’re not sure we want it, but it’s here until Friday at least!
Expect occasional showers to spritz down over regions like Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and a few more places you might need a map to locate. If you’re in Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, or the Lau and Lomaiviti groups, grab an umbrella – you might need it! Oh, and there’s a chance we’ll get some isolated heavy falls – perfect for creating spontaneous water features in your backyard. Just be cautious of those low-lying areas; they might turn into mini water parks!
Elsewhere, it should be fine, with just a little teasing from afternoon or evening showers. You know, the kind that makes you question whether your washing should be on the line. Nights will be cooler, so don’t forget to pull out the blanket unless you enjoy a brisk breeze! Expect moderate to fresh southeast winds and seas that might be giving a gentle but firm “stay in the shallows” recommendation.
Looking ahead to Friday, we’re keeping it cloudy, especially in those shower-prone areas, but the rest of Fiji should be enjoying fine weather. The night will remain cool, perfect for stargazing or contemplating all the things you didn’t do today!
And now, let’s break it down region by region:

Savusavu: Occasional showers will be your companions today, so skip the outdoor plans if you can.

Lau and Lomaiviti Group/Kadavu: Expect occasional showers today, but cooler nights should keep you cozy.

And for our friends on Rotuma, a trough of low pressure is coming from the north. That means cloudy periods and showers are bound to keep you company, along with fresh southeast winds and some active seas.
Temp tomorrow: Min 25, Max 31
So there you have it, folks! Enjoy your day, and remember: in Fiji, the rain doesn’t have to be a damper on your spirits – think of it as nature’s way of reminding you to appreciate the sunshine even more!
