Alright folks, grab your umbrellas and your sense of humor, because today’s weather forecast for the Fiji group is here and it’s looking quite eventful!
We’re expecting a mix of cloudy moments and a few sudden showers over Labasa, Namuka, Udu Point, as well as the interior of Wailevu, Vaturova, and Saqani. Think of it as the clouds trying to make up for lost time! The same goes for Taveuni and our delightful smaller islands, as well as the Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
For those in Natadola, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, and Rakiraki – you’re in for a treat! It’ll be mostly fine, with just a sprinkle of brief showers. Basically, the weather is in a good mood over there, whisking away clouds like a magician. But in the afternoon, those clouds might get a little cranky and unleash some real thunder and serious rain, leading to flash flooding in low-lying areas. Better keep your rain boots handy!
Winds from the west to southwest will keep things moderately breezy – enough to fly a kite or at least ruffle your hair, while the seas are feeling pretty chill too.
Now, what can you expect? Let’s dive into Friday! More of the same, with cloudy periods appearing over Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, and even up to Labasa and friends. You guessed it—this means more showers and the possibility of thunderous applause from Mother Nature in the afternoon.
As for our lovely cities:
– **Navua, Suva, and Nausori**: Mostly fine but watch out for those sneaky showers in the afternoon. Today’s highs are expected to be 32 degrees.
– **Sigatoka/Coral Coast**: Same story, expect showers and heavy falls later. So think about bringing a raincoat instead of wearing your best outfit to the beach! Today’s high is also 32 degrees.
– **Nadi, Lautoka, Ba**: Lovely until those brief showers try to crash your party this afternoon. We’re looking at a max of 33 degrees today.
– **Tavua/Rakiraki**: Fine till the afternoon thunderstorms decide to join the fun. Expect highs of 33 degrees.
– **Yasawa/Mamanuca group**: Cloudy but fine, really showing off. Highs around 31 degrees.
– **Labasa**: Cloudy with an attitude – brief showers and the occasional rumble! Max today is 32 degrees.
– **Savusavu**: Mainly fine but keep your emergency umbrella close by. It’s going to be 32 degrees max.
– **Kadavu**: Clouds may hover for a bit, but fine weather overall with highs of 31 degrees.
And for our friends in Rotuma, you’re enjoying a steady northerly breeze and occasional brief showers. Today’s max will be a nice 33 degrees.
