Weather Bonanza
Greetings from our cozy little forecasting hub here at the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi! It’s currently 3:30 PM on Thursday, January 22, 2026, and we’ve brewed up a weather forecast that promises to keep you intrigued. So, buckle up!
For the Fiji group until midnight tomorrow, expect fine weather strutting about most of our gorgeous islands, but hold on to your umbrellas—brief showers will be making guest appearances in Nasinu, Suva, Navua, Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, and the tranquil interior regions of Ba, Nadroga-Navosa, along with other lovely spots. Grab a tropical drink because it’s going to be quite pleasant generally, except for the afternoon and evening when those cheeky thunderstorms might crash the party—bringing along heavy rain for a dramatic entrance over the northern and interior parts of the main islands. And watch out! Those heavy showers could lead to flash floods in low-lying areas. So, don’t forget your rain boots!
Our winds are just the right amount of breezy, blowing gently from the south to southwest, while the seas are moderate, keeping the boaters mildly entertained.
Now, let’s peek into the Saturday outlook: It’s shaping up to be a bit cloudy with more showers in the same old spots, but no need to panic! Outside of the regular showers, we are still treated to beautiful skies in most areas. And yes, prepare for those pesky afternoon/evening thunderstorms to roll in again. Remember, they thrive in the hot interiors!
