Weather Bulletin
Good morning, sunshine seekers! Let’s see what the weather gods have in store for us today, Thursday, May 29, 2025, in the beautiful Fijian archipelago.
For our friends in Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Kadavu, along with our smaller island pals, Lau and Lomaiviti, expect a mix of partly cloudy skies with the possibility of some sneaky brief showers. Don’t worry, it’s not a downpour; think of it as Mother Nature giving your plants a gentle shower!
Now, for those not in the hot spots mentioned before, we’re enjoying fine weather today—except for the occasional afternoon or evening shower trying to crash the party. You might want to keep that umbrella handy, though! As the night settles in, the temperatures will drop to something pleasantly cool.
East to southeast winds are here to moderate your hairdo (sorry for the bad hair day), while the seas will be only moderately mischievous.
Now just a peek into what tomorrow, Friday, has waiting for us: expect more cloudy periods along with some showers for the folks in the same earlier locations. As for the rest of Fiji – yes, it’s still the same “fine weather except for those pesky isolated showers” narrative.
If you’re hanging out in Navua, Suva, or Nausori, prepare for partly cloudy skies with brief showers trying to steal the spotlight again tonight.
Over in Sigatoka and the Coral Coast, we’ll be basking in fine weather, with those cheeky afternoon or evening showers showing up uninvited. But don’t fret, it’s still cool at night!
In Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba, the good news rolls in: fine weather is on the horizon, with potential for the usual afternoon shower hijinks. Cool nights are a recurring theme tonight!
Tavua and Rakiraki will greet you with partly cloudy skies, with Rakiraki possibly receiving a brief splash of rain. The rest are in for some isolated shower surprises later on. And yes, cool nights are mandatory!
Moving on to Natadradave and Korovou: expect a blend of partly cloudy and cool weather sensations tonight—perfect for snuggling up!
The Yasawa and Mamanuca groups are in luck with fine weather and cool nights, as will Labasa, who can also anticipate a few sneaky afternoon showers but nothing too serious!
Savusavu is partly cloudy with brief showers playing hide and seek, while Lau and Lomaiviti regions will see the same shifty weather pattern.
Our friends in Kadavu can expect the same brief showers—don’t forget to appreciate the cool night!
Last but certainly not least, Rotuma is under the watch of a low-pressure trough and an easterly breeze. Expect cloudy periods with a few showers and potential thunderstorms—so maybe keep the fancy outdoor dinner plans for another night!
That’s all for now, Fijians—stay safe, stay dry (or not, if you’re a fan of the rain), and enjoy the beautiful weather that we’re blessed with!
