As of this evening, May 14, 2025, we’re witnessing a bit of a classic Fijian spectacle: an ensemble of clouds and intermittent showers starring in today’s show, with occasional heavy falls making guest appearances over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, and Ra. So if you were planning to stay dry, you might want to grab an umbrella or two – or perhaps a stylish poncho!
Now, if you’re on Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Kadavu, and the neighboring islands, you’ll have some cloud cover, but don’t be too gloomy – fine weather awaits elsewhere, as long as you can withstand the potential of isolated afternoon showers trying to rain on your parade. Nights are likely to be refreshingly cool, so maybe snuggle up or channel your inner polar bear.
As we look to Friday’s forecast, expect our sleight of winds to pick up, reaching speeds of up to 45 km/hr in places like Yasawa, Kadavu, Taveuni, Lau, and Lomaiviti. Hold onto your hats, folks, because it’s going to be breezy!
For those residing in Navua, Suva, and Nausori, prepare for another round of occasional showers – yes, they just love that stage! And for our friends on Sigatoka/Coral Coast, it’s mostly fine except for those cheeky isolated afternoon showers lurking in the background.
Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba will enjoy their fair share of sunshine, along with a sprinkling of afternoon drizzle. It’s much the same story for Tavua and Rakiraki, where you can expect a do-it-yourself fine weather kit with a side of possible afternoon sprinkles.
Residents of Natadradave and Korovou, the weather gods are showering down some occasional rain with a side of cool nights, while Yasawa and Mamanuca group are poised for fine breaks, as long as those afternoon sprinkles play nice.
