Fiji Weather Forecast: Moist Easterly Winds Bring Showers and Thunderstorms Across Fiji Islands with Rough Seas; Rotuma Warned for Strong Winds

Weather Update

Attention all weather enthusiasts! Grab your umbrellas and your sunscreen, because we’ve got quite a mix coming your way.

Today, we have a moist easterly wind doing the cha-cha across the country, likely leaving a trail of cloud and a chance for some brief showers in the interior and eastern parts of Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, and Taveuni, amongst other locations. In simpler terms, there may be a few rain dances happening while the rest of Fiji enjoys clearer skies.

For those in Navua, Suva, and Nausori, expect some cloudy periods and brief showers like your neighbor’s unsolicited advice. And brace yourselves for the chance of some heavy falls and rumbles of thunder this afternoon or evening – it seems Mother Nature is throwing a mini party, and everyone’s invited! The high today is a cool 30 degrees, and tomorrow we’re looking at a mingle between 23 and 30 degrees.

In Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba, the forecast looks fine, aside from those pesky afternoon or evening showers. Don’t forget to remain on high alert for thunderstorm surprise visits later on. Today’s highlight is hitting up to 33 degrees, while tomorrow we’ll keep it cozy with a range of 24 to 33 degrees.

For Sigatoka and the Coral Coast, expect fine weather along with a sprinkle of showers later. Today’s tip is to keep sunscreen handy and an umbrella close by—just in case those thunderstorms decide to drop by later.

Tavua and Rakiraki are riding the fine weather wave too! The temperature will be sizzling at 33 degrees today, but keep your ears open for any potential thunderclaps this evening.

Natadradave and Korovou will see cloudy times and brief showers, with the fun of thunderstorms making a potential grand appearance later—how exciting!

The Yasawa and Mamanuca group are looking lovely, with a fine day expected, though some afternoon showers may show up to spice things up.

Labasa is cranking it to 33 degrees, with a similarly uninvited thunderstorm possibly crashing the party later.

Savusavu and Nabouwalu are on the cloudy and brief shower train, while Taveuni and the Lau and Lomaiviti group can expect a few clouds thrown in too, along with a rumor of thunderstorms.

Over in Kadavu, prepare for that cheeky afternoon shower and some possible thunderclaps, with the maximum today reaching a cozy 32 degrees.

And finally, for our friends in Rotuma, a strong wind warning is in effect, so hold onto your hats! Expect gusty winds and some brief showers making waves on this lovely island.

That’s your weather wrap-up, folks! Keep an eye to the skies – it might just be a rollercoaster of weather today!
