Situation: A weak trough of low pressure sits over the country, bringing clouds and showers to many spots. A south to southeast wind flow is expected to dominate Fiji’s weather from later today.
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
Today:
Cloudy periods with showers, and the chance of isolated heavy falls in many places. Showers should ease as the day wears on. Localised heavy downpours may lead to flash flooding of low-lying areas. Cool at night. Moderate to fresh winds from the southwest to northwest, becoming south to southeast from later today. Seas moderate to rough.
Tomorrow:
Cloudy periods with brief showers over Sigatoka-Korolevu, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups. Fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers elsewhere. Cool at night. Moderate southeast winds. Moderate seas.
