Weather Bulletin
Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 3:30pm on Monday, January 26th, 2026
Situation: Well, it seems a breezy south to southeast wind flow has decided to take a vacation over Fiji. Don’t worry; the weather is still eager to keep us entertained!
Forecast until midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group: Expect cloudy periods with some passing showers trying to steal the spotlight over Sigatoka-Coral Coast, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Interior Nadroga/Navosa, Ra-Naitasiri, Serua-Namosi, Tailevu North, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, and all the way from Nabouwalu-Kubulau to Wailevu-Savusavu to Dakuniba, Tawake to Udu Point, and even the interiors of Vaturova-Koroalau-Saqani and Natewa, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups. Phew! Elsewhere, it’s all fine weather apart from a few lonely afternoon or evening showers trying to make a cameo.
Winds will be coming in at a moderate pace, with a southeast flair by the later part of the day, and seas are moderately moderate (what does that even mean?!).
Outlook for Wednesday: It looks like cloudy period repeat might be in the cards, with brief showers again putting on a performance over Navua-Suva-Nausori, Serua-Namosi, Ra-Naitasiri, Tailevu North, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Nabouwalu-Kubulau-Wailevu-Savusavu to Dakuniba, Tawake to Udu Point, and following the trail of Natewa, Vaturova-Koroalau-Saqani, Taveuni, and those cheeky smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups. Elsewhere, the fine weather will still insist on hosting some afternoon or evening showers — so grab your umbrella, just in case it gets raindrop-happy. And watch out for the occasional thunderstorm, which might want to crash the party with some heavy falls! Expect moderate to fresh easterly winds, along with moderate to rough seas.
