Weather Update from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi
Well, grab your umbrellas and your shades, because the weather in Fiji is here to keep you guessing! As we look ahead to midnight tomorrow, the forecast predicts a sprinkle of perfection with just a few brief showers appearing like unwelcome party crashers in Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, and Ra, as well as Kadavu and those shy little islands nearby. Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups might also get a surprise shower, but hey, who doesn’t love a little mystery in their day?
Meanwhile, most of us will be enjoying fine weather, with only the occasional flirtation with rain during the afternoon or evening. And if you’re in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, don’t be surprised if the clouds decide to play peek-a-boo with some afternoon thunderstorms—it’s like nature’s way of putting on a show.
We’re talking moderate southeast winds (not the kind that’ll blow your hat off) and moderate seas, so you might want to keep that hat handy just in case.
Looking ahead to Friday, the clouds seem to be in a plotting mood with cloudy periods and some showers over our friendly regions like Sigatoka-Korolevu, Serua-Namosi, and of course, the usual suspects of Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, and Ra. But don’t worry, elsewhere should be fine except for those pesky afternoon or evening showers again. Thunderstorms may make an encore performance over Viti Levu and Vanua Levu too!
Here’s what tomorrow looks like in some key areas:
– In Navua/Suva/Nausori: Expect a fine day with a few brief showers sneaking in. Tomorrow’s min: 22, max: 30.
– Natadradave/Korovou: Life is good with a fine day, min: 22, max: 30.
– Sigatoka/Coral Coast: A lovely fine day with possible isolated afternoon showers. Min: 22, max: 31.
– Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: Who said it might rain? A fine day is on the cards, though isolated showers might drop by. Min: 22, max: 33.
– Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Fine day alert except for those cheeky afternoon or evening showers. Min: 22, max: 31.
– Labasa: Fine apart from those isolated afternoon showers, min: 22, max: 34. Thunderstorms might drop by on Friday.
– And for Rotuma: Fine-ish with brief showers deciding to pop in. Min: 24, max: 32.
So, whether you’re off to hit the beach, enjoy a quiet day at home, or contemplate where on earth you’re going to put that umbrella, make sure to embrace whatever weather Fiji throws your way!
