Weather Update
Brought to you by the National Weather Forecasting Centre, Nadi
at 10:45 AM on this fine Sunday, June 1, 2025.

Hold onto your hats, folks! Except for a few brief showers trying to steal the show in Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Lau, Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and their slightly smaller island friends, the weather is staying pretty glorious today.

It’s going to be quite lovely out there, with just a whisper of isolated afternoon or evening showers lurking about elsewhere, much like uninvited guests at a party. Expect pleasantly cool nights, perfect for a cozy blanket and some stars!

The southeast winds are feeling moderately fresh, so if you were planning on going sailing, just avoid decorating the sea with your lunch! The seas might be a bit rough, so let’s keep our sea legs steady.

Now, looking ahead to Tuesday, the forecast is pretty much the same: Sunshine will be trying to win the weather contest while those pesky brief showers are mostly hanging out in the same places as before!

For our splendid regions:
– Navua / Suva / Nausori? A few brief showers are trying to crash the party, but overall, the sun is the main event.
– Sigatoka/Coral Coast folks will bask in fine weather, but keep an eye out for those sneaky afternoon/evening showers.
– Nadi / Lautoka / Ba will also enjoy fine weather, sprinkled with a chance of those elusive showers.
– Tavua/Rakiraki? Keep an umbrella handy for Ra, but elsewhere, enjoy the fine weather with the ever-so-slight chance of afternoon or evening showers.
– Natadradave/Korovou? Sunshine all around, with just a few shy showers on the side.
– The Yasawa/Mamanuca group will experience fine weather, just don’t forget about those potential isolated afternoon or evening showers.

As for Labasa and Savusavu, you’re in for some fine weather with brief showers trying to take a peek.

Now for the Lau/Lomaiviti and Kadavu crew, it’s looking fine with some brief showers trying to keep things interesting.

And a special message for Rotuma: Sweet sunshine is taking a backseat as a strong wind warning is in effect. Those southeast winds are cruising at 20 to 25 knots, and there’s a bit of rough sea action to consider as well. Expect occasional showers and a few thunderous moods!

So whether you’re soaking in the sun or dodging off those unpredictable showers, make the most of your day!
