Weather Update
It’s a bright and beautiful day in paradise—well, mostly. As we roll into Thursday, April 24th, 2025, the weather forecast suggests we’re looking at some fine conditions throughout the Fiji group. Just don’t get too comfy, southeastern Viti Levu (yes, we’re talking to you, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori) and our friends in Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Lau, Lomaiviti, and Kadavu—these areas are expecting some brief, but potentially moody showers. Remember, rain showers are just nature’s way of reminding us to appreciate the sunshine!
If you wander to the eastern half of Viti Levu and eastern Vanua Levu this afternoon, you might also want to keep an eye on the sky—thunderstorms could be crashing the party. But hey, who doesn’t love a little nature’s drama?
The winds will be blowing moderately from the southeast, so don’t be surprised if your hair does a little dance as you step outside. It might be a good day to avoid any ship-to-shore adventures, as the seas are just moderate enough to warrant caution.
Looking ahead to Friday, expect a few clouds with a dash of showers over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, and the southern Bua and Cakaudrove provinces. But fear not, folks elsewhere may still find plenty of sunshine in their day—just watch out for a sneaky afternoon shower that might try to steal the spotlight.
Here’s a quick snapshot for our favorite locations:
For Navua/Suva/Nausori: Expect fine weather with the occasional cheeky shower.
For Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Maintain that sunny disposition, but stay alert for those brief visits from the rain.
For Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: Mainly fine! Friday’s forecast? More of the same, but don’t be shocked by some brief showers.
For Tavua/Rakiraki: Mostly fine, with a special mention to those pesky brief showers.
For Natadradave/Korovou: Fine and dandy, sprinkle in some brief showers too.
For Yasawa/Mamanuca: Fine, with only isolated showers crashing the party.
For Labasa: Fine but brace yourself for afternoon drama—showers and possible thunderstorms may appear.
For Savusavu: More sunny vibes with the chance of brief showers and some thunder to spice things up.
For Lau/Lomaiviti: Fine with brief showers trying to steal the scene.
For Kadavu: Finely tuned weather, except for those brief showers that might just pop up.
For Rotuma: It’s a mixed bag with occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms, so stay on your toes!
In short, make sure to bring an umbrella just in case Mother Nature gets a little giddy, but overall, enjoy all the lovely sunshine Fiji has to offer!
