Weather Bulletin
Submitted with a sprinkle of humor from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at exactly 3:30 PM on Monday, July 21, 2025.
Situation: Picture this – a northeasterly wind is currently sweeping through the group like it owns the place! Meanwhile, look out, because a rather moody trough of low pressure is gearing up to make a dramatic entrance from the west tomorrow. Get ready for some cloud cover and rain, which will be the perfect excuse to stay indoors and binge-watch your favorite show.
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
Prepare for a smorgasbord of clouds and brief showers over regions like Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Rakiraki, and more. The east and its adjoining islands will also be experiencing similar gloomy treats. But don’t fret – elsewhere, expect mainly fine weather where the sun may just make a surprise cameo. Rain and thunderstorms will begin popping up from the west tomorrow evening, spreading like rumors at a family gathering by Wednesday.
We’ll be experiencing moderate easterly winds at first, but they’ll dip into the northeast to southwest spectrum tomorrow night, so hang onto your hats! Moderate seas are on the agenda too.
Outlook for Wednesday: Expect occasional rain and isolated thunderstorms, along with an increased chance of heavy falls that could cause mischief in low-lying areas (keep your rubber ducks ready!). As the day winds down, anticipate the rain easing up and clearing out from the west. Don’t forget to bundle up at night – it’s going to be cool!
