Weather Report Alert
Brought to you from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at the crack of dawn on Friday, October 31, 2025.
So here we are! An easterly wind is hanging around like that relative who overstayed their welcome. Meanwhile, there’s a shy little trough to the northeast of Fiji making its way southeast, preparing to join the fun this weekend and sprinkle some moisture over us—because who doesn’t love a little shower now and then?
Now, for the Fiji group as we approach midnight tonight, expect a blanket of clouds with brief showers—the kind of weather that makes you question your life choices while stuck in traffic in Suva. This is especially true for the interior and eastern parts of Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove (yes, even Taveuni and its neighboring tiny islands), and parts of Viti Levu stretching from Serua-Namosi to Tailevu North. Lau and Lomaiviti are also in for a soggy surprise. The rest of us? Mainly fine.
As for the winds, they’ll be moderate to fresh—just enough to ruffle your hair and give it that “I-just-came-from-a-photo-shoot” look. Seas will be rough but don’t worry; they’re taking a chill pill later today.
Looking ahead to Saturday, expect more clouds and a few showers in those interior and eastern zones. If you’re elsewhere, fine weather will be countered by isolated afternoon or evening showers, and don’t be surprised if a thunderstorm decides to crash the party.
Now onto specific areas:
For Navua/Suva/Nausori, prepare for another day filled with clouds and those pesky brief showers. Temperature range: 24° to 30°—not too hot, not too cold, very Goldilocks indeed.
For Sigatoka/Coral Coast, it’s mainly fine with a little something for everyone: Min 22° and Max 31°.
Nadi/Lautoka/Ba are graced with mainly fine conditions—what a treat! Min 23° and a sizzling Max of 34°.
Tavua/Rakiraki? You guessed it—mainly fine! Min 23° and Max 33°.
In Natadradave/Korovou, it’s more clouds and brief showers. Min 23° and Max 31° for you.
Yasawa/Mamanuca group, consider yourself mostly fine. Min 23°, Max 32°.
Labasa is also living the fine life, with Min 23° and Max 33°.
Savusavu is keeping it simple with fine weather and a sprinkle of brief showers. Min 24° and Max 30°.
The same goes for Nabouwalu and Taveuni—don’t forget your umbrellas as those brief showers may swing by for a visit.
Lau and Lomaiviti group bask in fine weather but also anticipate a few sneaky showers. Kadavu will stay mainly fine, but we might just see someone confusing the sky with a water bucket.
Rotuma is feeling a tad more dramatic with a STRONG WIND WARNING. It’s like your favorite action movie, but with breezy winds instead of fight scenes. You’ll be treated to cloudy periods with brief showers.
So there you have it! Stay tuned, stay dry (or should we say stay semi-dry?), and enjoy the weather while it’s jesting around!
