Fiji Weather Forecast: Easterly Winds Bring Cloudy Periods and Isolated Showers with Rough Seas; Rotuma Strong Wind Warning in Effect

Weather Alert!

It’s your friendly neighborhood weather report, coming to you live from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi! Time to adjust your sunglasses because it’s looking like an exciting mix of fine weather and a few mischievous showers for the next couple of days.

First up, we have an easterly wind flow strutting its stuff across the country like it owns the place. Meanwhile, an attention-seeking trough has decided to drift southeast and make the easterlies a little more… well, moist, starting later Saturday. Get ready, Fiji!

Forecast until midnight tomorrow reveals plenty of sunshine for most, with only brief showers trying to photobomb your plans in Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove (including Taveuni), and other popular spots like the east of Viti Levu. So, if you’re in those areas, don’t be surprised if you find yourself dancing in the rain… briefly!

Now, let’s get to the nitty-gritty for some popular locations:

For Navua/Suva/Nausori: Expect a day of sunshine with only the occasional brief shower wanting some attention. Today’s high is going to reach a toasty 30.

Over in Sigatoka/Coral Coast: It’s beach day every day! Mainly fine weather is on the menu with a sizzling high of 32. Tomorrow we’ll start at a cozy 22, then soar to 31!

In Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: Keep those shades handy because it’s a beautiful day ahead, reaching a balmy 34 – just perfect for a day out! Tomorrow brings a minimum of 23 and a maximum of… you guessed it, 34.

Tavua/Rakiraki will also bask in fine weather. A high of 33 today, so sunscreen is a must. Tomorrow’s forecasted to have a low of 23 and a glorious high of 33.

The Yasawa/Mamanuca group is set for a picture-perfect day, maxing out at 33. Tomorrow might throw in a surprise with isolated afternoon showers though.

Our friends in Labasa can expect mainly fine conditions today with a nice 33 on the thermometer. Tomorrow, they’ll start at 23 and reach 32.

Over in Savusavu: We’re feeling fine apart from a few shy showers, hitting 30 today. Tomorrow looks familiar, with the same numbers—you got this!

Now, for the adventurous folks on Kadavu, expect mostly clear skies, maxing at 31 today. Tomorrow, you’ll wake up at a breezy 22 and reach 31 again! Consistency is key, right?

Rotuma is turning up the drama with a STRONG WIND WARNING! Winds are feeling lively, ranging from 20 to 25 knots, gearing down to a calmer 15 to 20 by tomorrow. Expect a cloudy day with brief showers. Today, you’ll reach 32, with a low of 26 tomorrow.

So, whether you’re planning to frolic on the beach, take a cozy rain dance in the backyard, or just stare wistfully at your ceiling, we hope you enjoy the weather! Just remember: don’t forget the umbrella, and happy weathering!
