Weather Update
Brought to you by the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi.
Alright, folks, gather ’round! It seems that our friendly easterly winds are blowing in, ready to whisk away the mundane and dance their way across our beautiful islands. But hold onto your hats because there’s a sneak peek of a low-pressure trough strutting in from the southwest, and it’s set to crash the party starting Thursday night.
Now, what’s in store for our beloved Fiji up to midnight tomorrow? Well, the forecast looks quite nice! A few sprightly showers could pop up over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Ra, as well as the southern Bua and Cakaudrove, Taveuni, and some nearby tiny islands (they love the attention too). The Lau and Lomaiviti groups, plus Kadavu and its buddies, might see just a sprinkle as well. Elsewhere, it’s all sunshine and rainbows—except for a cheeky afternoon or evening shower trying to crash your outdoor plans. Thunderstorms could make an appearance over Vanua Levu and the eastern interior of Viti Levu, but let’s hope they behave themselves!
Winds will be moderate and easterly, so don’t let it mess up your hair too much. The sea? It’s moderately calm—perfect for a paddle or two!
Now, looking ahead to Thursday, it looks like the clouds want to hold hands with some brief showers over Navua, Suva, Nausori, Tailevu, Naitasiri, and eastern Macuata. The same goes for Cakaudrove, Taveuni, Lau, Lomaiviti, Kadavu, and their little island pals. Elsewhere, expect more sunshine with just the occasional shower trying to sneak in. Keep your umbrellas handy, as isolated thunderstorms are expected later in the night over Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
