Weather Update

Hey there, Fiji! Ready to dive into the weather forecast with a dash of wit? Let’s take a look at what’s brewing in the atmosphere today; we’ve got the mighty southerly winds doing a little dance, and they’re about to twirl into a southeasterly groove starting tomorrow. Fancy!

Here’s what to expect until midnight tomorrow for our sunny archipelago:

You’ll be basking in fine weather, except for those pesky brief showers that fancy their visit to Sigatoka-Coral Coast, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Kadavu and their waterproof friends in the smaller islands, Lau, Lomaiviti, Southern Bua, and Cakaudrove. Meanwhile, everywhere else? Sunbathing weather! The nights are cooling down, so grab a light blanket or a cuddly pet for warmth.

Tomorrow we’re looking at moderate southerly winds, which will soon pivot to the southeast. Seas? Just moderately behaving, so no need to worry about extreme splashes disrupting your beach day!

Now, let’s gaze into our crystal ball for Sunday’s forecast: Expect some cloudiness with a side of showers over the usual suspects like Sigatoka-Coral Coast, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and more. Spoiler alert: it’s mainly fine elsewhere, so don’t throw away those sunglasses just yet!

Here’s the nitty-gritty:

For Navua, Suva, and Nausori, expect mainly fine weather but those brief showers might still want to crash your outdoor plans. The temperatures will flirt between a cozy 17 and a refreshing 27 degrees.

In Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba, things are looking peachy with mainly fine conditions and a slight chill at night. You’ll enjoy temps from 17 to a warm 29 degrees.

The sparkling Sigatoka/Coral Coast duo will be fine too, with those same pesky brief showers. Similar temperatures will keep things easygoing at a range of 17 to 29 degrees.

For Tavua and Rakiraki, prepare for mainly sunny sky scenarios all day long, with cool nights to lull you into dreamland. You’ll feel nice and toasty with temperatures hitting 29 degrees.

Natadradave/Korovou can expect a little splash from those brief showers too, with temperatures swinging between 17 and 28 degrees.

Looking for sunny escapades in the Yasawa and Mamanuca group? You’re mostly in the clear, with charming temperatures from 18 to 29 degrees.

Labasa will stay beautifully clear with a balmy 31 degrees showing off while Savusavu might see the occasional shower, with a gentle night chill as well. Temperatures should be around 19 during the night and hitting 28 during the day.

Nabouwalu and the lovely Taveuni: expect brief showers but don’t fret; it won’t ruin your fun in the sun. Your temperatures will be dancing around 19 to 28 degrees as well.

Last but not least, our friends in Lau and Lomaiviti, Kadavu, and Rotuma—be prepared for mixed weather. While some sprinkles can be expected, especially in Rotuma where thunderstorms may play peekaboo with the clouds, temperatures will be in the warm zone between 25 and 29 degrees.

So there you have it, folks! Weather updates sprinkled with some giggles. Remember to stay hydrated and try to dodge those fleeting showers!
