Good morning, weather enthusiasts! It seems the winds of change are above us, as a southeasterly breeze is currently doing a little cha-cha across the islands. Meanwhile, a lazy trough of low pressure is lounging about to the south and is expected to stir up some mischief in the southern and eastern parts of Fiji later today.
Here’s what to expect for the rest of today until midnight: Grab your umbrellas, folks! The Coral Coast to Korolevu region, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra-Rakiraki, Kadavu, and many islands are in for some cloudy spells and scattered showers. It sounds like a recipe for a great indoor movie marathon! The rest of you might experience some sunshine, although the chance for a cheeky afternoon or evening shower is still on the table.
Isolated thunderstorms could come out to play later, so keep an eye on the sky – and maybe reconsider that outdoor picnic idea. Expect moderate southeasterly winds along with seas that are feeling quite average.
Now, looking ahead to Saturday, we have more of the eternal cloud and shower combo, mainly over Kadavu and southern Lau, with a few sneaky showers popping up elsewhere. But don’t worry, you’ll likely be greeted by fine weather, apart from those occasional raindrops trying to crash your outdoor plans. And yes, expect some isolated thunderstorms in the mix.
