Weather Update
So, it seems a weak little trough of low pressure has decided to crash the party towards the north of our lovely islands, bringing along some cloudiness and an invitation for showers to drift southward from tomorrow. Don’t worry; your sunbathing plans might survive if you swim fast enough! Meanwhile, our east to southeast winds are doing their breezy best to keep things interesting.
Here’s what you can expect until midnight tomorrow:
Today:
Get ready for some dramatic cloud reveals across Serua-Namosi, Navua, Suva, Nausori, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Ra, Eastern Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, along with their island buddies Lau and Lomaiviti, and don’t forget Kadavu. You might want to pack a raincoat because isolated heavy downpours and thunderstorms might feel like they’ve joined the cast as well. Elsewhere? A mostly fine show, but those pesky afternoon or evening showers could still make a cameo. Expect moderate to fresh winds, especially in the areas that find themselves in Mother Nature’s rain spotlight. The seas will be moderate to rough, so don’t forget your sea legs!
Tomorrow:
The forecast remains on the cloudy side with occasional showers in the same regions as above. We’re also rolling out the red carpet for isolated thunderstorms and potentially some heavy falls. Those sunny folks in other areas can expect fine weather with a chance of some cheeky afternoon or evening showers. Look out for winds that continue to blow fresh, possibly gusting where the rain comes down like an excited puppy. The sea’s mood remains moderate to rough.
