Weather Update
Greetings fellow weather enthusiasts! Here’s what’s brewing up in the skies over the lovely Fiji islands on this fine Tuesday morning, February 10, 2026. It appears that the east to northeasterly wind is feeling quite chatty and has decided to take center stage today. However, we’ve got a sneaky little trough of low pressure creeping in from the east, bringing along its cloud and shower buddies. So, don’t be surprised if Mother Nature starts her shower routine tomorrow!
As we look towards tonight, the Fiji group can expect some cheeky cloudy periods sprinkled with the occasional shower and a few rebellious thunderstorms strutting their stuff over the eastern areas of Viti Levu. So if you’re in Greater Suva or cruising near the Coral Coast, keep your umbrellas close – they may just become your new best friend!
For the rest of Fiji, it’s all sunshine and smiles – well, apart from a few stubborn showers that might make a cameo in the afternoon or evening. But beware: those showers could bring along a thunderstorm, and nobody likes an uninvited thundercloud at a picnic!
We should also keep an eye out for localised heavy falls which could lead to flash flooding, especially in low-lying areas. So, steer clear of celebrity puddles, folks!
Winds will be moderate to fresh, possibly going gusty during those heavy downpours – just imagine them throwing a wind party! Seas will be moderate to rough, so expect a bit of a dance if you’re planning to sail.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, the plot thickens! Expect to see clouds and showers popping up across various locations, including the Eastern part of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups – they simply can’t resist making an appearance. If you’re out and about, don’t forget that the afternoon and evening may feature a few of those thunderstorms making surprise appearances!
For our beloved Navua, Suva, and Nausori residents, tonight’s forecast calls for a cozy evening with temperatures ranging from 25°C to a steamy 31°C. And don’t fret, Wednesday brings pretty much the same with a touch of those pesky showers and thunderstorms.
The sun might be feeling a bit shy in Sigatoka and the Coral Coast, with heights reaching 32°C and a chance of an afternoon thunderstorm. But if you’re hanging out in Nadi, Lautoka, or Ba, the sun will keep it mostly fine during the day, cooling down to 34°C in the evenings, unless those sneaky afternoon showers decide to join the party.
Let’s not forget our island friends in the Yasawa/Mamanuca group and Labasa, who’ll have a similar experience with lovely weather except for those fun thunderstorms that show up unannounced.
Even Rotuma is feeling the effects of the northeast winds, with a mix of fine weather and some cheeky showers coming later today. Make sure to appreciate the 33°C while you can!
All in all, keep those umbrellas handy, avoid puddle jumping during heavy rain, and get ready for a delightful mix of sunshine and showers! Weather out!
