Fiji Weather Forecast: Cloudy With Showers and Thunderstorms Across Islands With Flood Risk Today and Tuesday

Greetings, weather enthusiasts! It looks like a moist northeasterly wind is sweeping across the islands like a friend who overstays their welcome. Meanwhile, there’s a lazy trough of low pressure hanging out just northwest of Fiji, reminding us that sometimes things just like to take their time!

Here’s what’s brewing for the Fiji group until midnight tomorrow: expect a sky full of clouds throwing shade, with some showers that might just turn into isolated afternoon downpours. And yes, thunderstorms want in on the action, particularly over the interiors and eastern regions of Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Eastern Taveuni, and friends. If you’re in the interior or east of Viti Levu (including Suva, Nausori, and all the way up to Rakiraki and Tavua), hold onto your hats because it could get a little wild!

For the rest of you, expect cloudy intervals with the occasional shower trying to crash the party, especially in the afternoon or evening. Winds will be moderate—perfect for a breezy stroll, not too strong, but strong enough to mess up your hair. Also, the seas are moderate—think of them as a slightly choppy recipe for fun!

Now, let’s sneak a peek at Tuesday’s forecast: more of those cloudy days with a side of showers. Isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms will keep things interesting, especially in the same areas we mentioned earlier. Flash flooding could occur in low-lying spots, so keep an eye out for pesky puddles. The winds will be fresh at times, making it feel like Mother Nature is giving you a light nudge!
