Fiji Weather Forecast: Cloudy with Showers and Isolated Thunderstorms, Easterly Winds and Rough Seas

Weather Alert: Friday, October 24, 2025

Well, folks, it seems we’ve got a bit of a weather drama unfolding. A wayward trough, kind of like an uninvited guest, is inching its way toward Fiji but is expected to pack up and head southwest before causing too much fuss. Meanwhile, we’re enjoying the company of some moist easterly winds. So, let’s see what Mother Nature has in store for us today!

Forecast until midnight tonight across the Fiji group: Expect some cloudy periods that might just decide to play peek-a-boo with brief showers, particularly in the interior and eastern regions of Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, as well as the eastern corners of Taveuni and its smaller companions. And yes, Viti Levu won’t escape either, with those cloudy periods extending from Serua-Namosi to Navua-Suva up to Tailevu North. For those in Kadavu and nearby islands, along with Lau and Lomaiviti groups, get ready for some wet surprises too.

For everyone else, it’s looking like cloudy spells might just match our cozy vibes, with isolated afternoon or evening showers possibly crashing the party. The wind will be moderately easterly, picking up at times, just enough to get your hair really tousled, and seas are set to be moderately rough. Hang on to your hats, folks!

Looking ahead to Saturday: Get ready for more cloud cover and showers, with some of those showers potentially packing some punch (a.k.a. thunderstorms). The interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu, along with Southern Bua and Cakaudrove plus Taveuni and its little buddies, are in for a special treat — isolated heavy falls that could lead to flash flooding.
