Listen up, Fiji! We’re looking at a bit of a curtain call this weekend with some cloud cover making a grand entrance in parts of Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and the smaller islands nearby. For the rest of you sun-seekers, it’s looking mainly fine – so feel free to don those sunglasses and get that vitamin D! Just don’t forget a light jacket for those cool nights that may have you wanting to cuddle up with your favorite blanket or that mystery novel you keep postponing!
Moderate to fresh southeast winds will be brushing across the region, while those seas are going to be rough—perfect for building character for all you adventurous mariners out there!
Looking to Sunday, it’s more of the same! Cloudy periods and brief showers are ready to crash the party in the usual suspects of Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Lau and Lomaiviti, Kadavu, and their tiny sidekicks. Other areas? Relax – it’s mainly fine. And yes, the cool nights will still be there, keeping your stars and your cozy sweaters company.
Let’s break down the individual towns while sprinkling a bit of cheer:
For Navua / Suva / Nausori: Expect cloudy spells with a splash of showers. Nighttime? You’re in for a cool treat! Today’s high – a pleasant 26, while tomorrow serves up a chill 18 to 26 range – not too shabby!
Over in Nadi / Lautoka / Ba: Today’s forecast says mainly fine and fantastic! Expect to bask in a lovely 30 today, cooling off to 19 at night, and a similar scene tomorrow with a high of 29.
In Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Luck’s on your side as you enjoy mainly fine weather today with a cozy 29 degrees! Tomorrow, a cool night awaits you with a 19 to a sunny 30—ideal for a beach stroll.
For Tavua/Rakiraki: Sunshine and smiles all around! Expect a lovely 30 today, while you snuggle into 18 tonight – and a repeat of fine weather on Sunday.
In Natadradave/Korovou: It seems the clouds are crashing your party today; expect those cloudy intervals with showers, peaking at 27. Tomorrow, cool down with temps hovering between 19 and 27.
For Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Mainly fine and dandy! Enjoy a nice high of 29 today. Excellent beach weather on the horizon with a cozy night incoming!
Labasa calls for mainly fine weather too, with today’s high at 29 and a nighttime chill of 19. The weekend looks equally friendly with highs of 31!
Savusavu, brace for cloudy spells and some showers today. We’ve got a maximum of 28 calling your name; tomorrow, expect the same with a slightly jazzy low of 19.
Each corner of Nabouwalu, Taveuni, Lau, and Lomaiviti, and Kadavu appears to be getting the cloudy treatment with brief showers – don’t fret though, you’ll still manage a pleasant 28 to 29 throughout, keeping nights as cool as a cucumber.
And last but not least, Rotuma is having quite an event! A trough of low pressure is throwing an occasional shower and a sprinkle of isolated thunderstorms your way! Moderate easterly winds will keep you company as today caps off at 25.
So, there you have it! Don’t forget your umbrellas if you’re in the rainy zones, but for most, it’s a great weekend to soak up some sun while sipping that piña colada. Enjoy!
