Weather Update
Brought to you straight from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi, at the breezy hour of 7:30 PM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025

Here’s what Mother Nature has up her sleeve for the vibrant Fiji group until midnight tomorrow:

Get ready for some overcast moments and sporadic showers—especially if you’re around Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Kadavu, nearby smaller islands, Taveuni, Lau, and Lomaiviti. For the rest of you, it might be a scene from a postcard because the weather looks mainly fine! Expect cool nights that are better suited for snuggling and not for awkward beach karaoke.

And speaking of karaoke, let’s look ahead to Thursday: Southeast winds are gearing up to boost their speeds, clocking in at up to 45 km/hr in Lau and Lomaiviti group, Kadavu, and Taveuni. Flying a kite? Perfect day! Just hold on tight, or it may take a little vacation of its own. The rest of Fiji will enjoy some moderate breezes, with gusts that might surprise you, much like a plot twist in your favorite telenovela.

For the cloud-challenged regions, expect the usual suspects of cloudy periods and showers over Serua-Namosi and friends. Meanwhile, elsewhere, it’s chiefly fine with those cool nights inviting you to break out your cozy sweaters and a cup of warm cocoa.

Now, let’s zoom into specifics:

**Navua/Suva/Nausori:** Prepare for some cloud cover and the occasional spritz of rain. Nothing too dramatic, but enough to earn a spot in your rainy-day playlist. The cool nights are still on script.

**Nadi/Lautoka/Ba:** Mainly fine here, like a sunny disposition on a Monday morning. Again, cool nights are in the forecast, so don’t underestimate the chill!

**Coral Coast/Sigatoka:** Cloudy periods and showers will take the stage. Don’t fret, they’ll pack up before the cool night sets in.

**Tavua/Rakiraki:** Rakiraki will see some gray clouds with a side of rain, whilst there’s mostly fine weather in Tavua. Cool nights prevail!

**Natadradave/Korovou:** Some cloud action with showers—standard for this time of year. Grab a light jacket for the cool evenings ahead.

**Yasawa/Mamanuca:** Enjoying the fine weather; just don’t forget that cool night blanket!

**Labasa:** We’ll take a “fine day” here, thank you very much, and a cool night for good measure.

**Savusavu:** Expect the clouds and occasional showers here as well—cool nights are in the forecast.

**Lau and Lomaiviti:** Cloudy periods and showers are expected, along with cool nights to keep you cozy.

**Kadavu:** Showers are expected to keep things interesting, and yes, cool nights will still be your companion.

**Rotuma:** Attention, folks! A STRONG WIND WARNING is still up, which means it’s not the best day for leisurely strolls by the beach. Winds of 20 to 25 knots and rough seas are on the menu, with cloudy conditions and perhaps a few thunderstorms attempting to steal the show!

**Outlook for Thursday:** Expect more of the same with cloudy periods and showers hanging around. So, keep your umbrellas handy!

And there you have it! Stay cozy, entertained, and prepared for anything the weather decides to throw your way!
