Weather Bulletin
Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 5:30am on Sunday the 10th of August 2025
Good morning, Fiji! It looks like we’re in for a mixed bag of weather today. Think of it like Mother Nature’s version of a chocolate box—some sweetness, a bit of nuttiness, and a touch of drizzle. Here’s what’s cooking for the day:
For the Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Raitasiri-Ra, Kadavu, and those smaller islands nearby (yes, they’re lovely but could really use some recognition), brace yourself for cloudy periods with a side of brief showers. However, the sun will be holding its own elsewhere, shining serenely upon you like it knows something we don’t!
Things will definitely cool down tonight, perfect for snuggling up or having an ice cream binge while gazing at the stars. Remember, as those southeasterly winds blow, they might just carry off your hat if you’re not careful!
Now, what does Monday have in store for us? More of the cloud team, but with just a sprinkle of showers over Navua-Suva-Nausori, Kadavu, and the Lau and Lomaiviti groups. Mainly sunny skies will be waving hello elsewhere—just a friendly reminder that as the sun shines brightly, it’s still cool at night, so grab a light jacket or an extra blanket!
Local Outlooks:
– For the trio Navua/Suva/Nausori: Expect cloudy conditions with quick little showers popping in for a visit. Nighttime will be cool with temperatures swinging between 17 and 27 degrees—perfect for curling up with the latest binge-watch.
– Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: It’s mainly fine! Now may be the time to hit the beach because your max will be 29, and the evening will cool down nicely with a minimum of 18.
– Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Basically a repeat performance of Nadi and Ba! Get ready for mainly fine weather and those cool night vibes.
– Tavua/Rakiraki: You’re in for a treat as it remains primarily fine too, with temps from 18 to a cozy 30 degrees.
– Over in Natadradave/Korovou: You’ll have those cheeky clouds trying to sneak in briefly, but it’ll still be cool at night.
– Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Mainly fine, easy peasy! Also, expect cool nights—grab your favorite PJs!
– For Labasa: Mainly fine with a minimum of 17 and a maximum reaching up to 31 degrees. Sun-soaked fun awaits!
– Over in Savusavu: It’s cloud city with a few brief showers, but don’t let that dampen your spirits; it’ll cool off nicely at night!
– Nabouwalu and Taveuni: More cloud cover headed your way, with a few brief shower interruptions—a perfect excuse to stay inside and watch your favorite movie.
– Lau and Lomaiviti Group/Kadavu: Cloudy with brief sprinkles—just nature’s way of keeping us on our toes!
– And lastly, for Rotuma: The islands are feeling moody today, with a trough of low pressure bringing clouds and showers mixed with a few thunderstorms. Buckle up, it’s going to be a bumpy ride with fresh easterly winds and a good chance of rough seas. Temperatures will be hanging out around 25 to 29 degrees.
So, that’s the weather scoop for today, folks! Whether you’re soaking up the sunshine or dodging those brief showers, remember to stay hydrated and enjoy the scenery!
