Weather Whirlwind Update
Brace yourselves, folks! A moist easterly wind has swooped in like a hero from a B-grade action movie, bringing with it a nervous little trough of low pressure that’s planning to crash our party from the north. It seems the clouds received their memo and are coming prepared with showers for our friends in the northern and eastern parts of Fiji this Sunday.
Here’s what to expect from the Fiji group until midnight tomorrow:
Get ready for a sky full of drama! You’ll see cloudy periods featuring brief showers, especially over the interior and east parts of Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, the eastern bits of Taveuni, and the smaller islands nearby. Viti Levu will also get in on the action. Think of it as a weather buffet from Serua-Namosi through Navua-Suva-Nausori up to Tailevu North! Not to mention Kadavu, Lau, and Lomaiviti.
In other parts, things will stay cloudy with a touch of isolation – just a few afternoon or evening showers wandering about. Oh, and don’t be surprised if you hear the faint rumble of thunder making a cameo appearance. Moderate easterly winds will keep everyone on their toes, and the seas are looking moderately temperamental.
As for Sunday’s outlook, it’s more of the same with clouds, showers, and maybe even an isolated thunderstorm throwing its weight around. We’re looking at some hefty downpours for the Interior and eastern regions of Viti Levu and the usual suspects like Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, and our island friends. If you’re in low-lying areas, grab your floaties!
