Weather Alert!
Brought to you straight from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at the ungodly hour of 5:30am on Monday, December 1st, 2025.
Let’s set the scene: a nice, gentle southeast wind is blowing over all of Fiji, whispering sweet nothings to the clouds and preparing them for a little shower party.
For the Fiji group until the clock strikes midnight tonight, we’re looking at a soirée of clouds with a few shower crashes over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Ra, Kadavu, and their smaller island pals, as well as in the Northern Division, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups. Just to keep it spicy, we might even have some isolated heavy showers trying to steal the show.
Meanwhile, in other less dramatic regions, it’s pretty much champagne and sunshine, except for the occasional pop of an afternoon or evening shower. And oh boy, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu might want to brace themselves for a couple of rambunctious afternoon thunderstorms.
Expect some moderate southeast winds to keep you company, and the seas? Not too shabby – just moderate enough to let you know who’s boss out there.
Now, looking ahead to Tuesday: expect a mostly fine day—clouds taking a backseat except for brief showers over the usual suspects: Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Ra, Kadavu, southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, and nearby smaller islands, as well as Lau and Lomaiviti groups. Celebrate the dry moments, and don’t forget, afternoon or evening thunderstorms could still make a surprise cameo over Viti Levu and Vanua Levu.
