Situation: A lazy trough of low pressure has decided to make itself comfortable just to the east of Fiji, while another weak trough is bringing some clouds and a few showers to keep you company.
Forecast until midnight tonight for the Fiji group: Expect cloudy periods with showers crashing the party over most regions. The winds will be strutting their stuff from the southwest to northwest at a moderate to fresh pace, creating just the right amount of roughness out at sea. So, good luck to all you sailors out there!
Outlook for Friday: More of the same cloudiness with occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms. It seems our weather hasn’t gotten the memo about sunny days—those southerly to northwesterly winds will still be around to blow a gentle reminder!
Regional Forecast:
Navua / Suva / Nausori: More clouds and showers—your typical cozy day in paradise! For Friday, prepare for clouds, showers, and perhaps a dance with thunderstorms.
Nadi / Lautoka / Ba: Matching act—cloudy with showers. And for Friday, the rain and thunderstorms might just want to join in on the fun too.
Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Those clouds will be lingering with their rainy friends. Expect Friday to be another cloud-filled day with sudden thunderstorms popping up like an unexpected guest.
Tavua/Rakiraki: The clouds and showers continue their reign of scatter and sprinkle. Friday promises the same mix.
Yasawa/Mamanuca Group: If you love clouds and showers, then you’ve hit the jackpot! Prepare for Friday’s forecast to deliver more of the same, along with some delightful thunderstorm surprises.
