Fiji Weather Forecast: Cloudy Periods with Showers Across Viti Levu Interior and Island Groups, Southeast Winds

Weather Update from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi

Brought to you fresh as the morning dew at 5:30 am on this fine Thursday, October 16, 2025. So put on your adventure hats and get ready for a day that is a mix of clouds, a sprinkle of showers, and just enough sunshine to keep you entertained!

For the Fiji group today, expect cloudy spells with some shy showers hiding around the Interior and eastern sectors of Viti Levu – you know, the places from Serua-Namosi through Navua-Suva-Nausori up to Tailevu North, and extending its shy little fingers to Southern Bua, Cakaudrove including Taveuni and its smaller neighbors, Kadavu, plus a sprinkle on our lovely Lau and Lomaiviti groups. Meanwhile, if you’re in the mood for sunshine, elsewhere might treat you just fine, with only the occasional need for a rain dance in the afternoon or evening.

Southeast winds are making their presence known with a moderate breeze; think of them as nature’s way of giving you a gentle nudge on a warm day. Seas are moderate too, so if you’re planning a swim, just make sure you’re prepared for a bit of a tussle with those waves!

Looking ahead to Friday: the clouds are sticking around, bringing more showers in the same areas from today. Yes, that’s right, it’s like déjà vu! But fear not, if you’re not in those regions, you may still get to enjoy fine weather, just with some isolated afternoon or evening shower surprises—potential thunderstorm included, as a bonus feature. The southeast winds will get a bit spicy at times, and the seas might turn a bit rough—good luck to our seafaring friends out there!
