Weather Update!
Brought to you straight from the crystal ball at the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi, on this fine Sunday morning, June 15, 2025.
So here’s the scoop for today’s forecast across the enchanting Fiji group: Expect some cloudy shenanigans with brief showers photobombing the party over in Navua, Suva-Nausori, Serua-Namosi, Naitasiri-Tailevu, Rakiraki, Cakaudrove, and the southern Bua provinces, plus Kadavu and its tiny island entourage, along with Lau and the Lomaiviti group.
Meanwhile, the rest of you can chill with mainly fine weather! However, don’t forget your sweaters because it’s going to be cool once the sun tucks itself in for the night.
Now let’s talk about those breezy easterly winds: they’re coming in with moderate to fresh enthusiasm, and the seas are in a bit of a mood – moderate to rough, just like your last family gathering!
Looking ahead to Monday’s weather drama: It seems we’ve got a repeat performance! Expect that same lineup of cloudy periods and brief showers over our friends in Navua, Suva-Nausori, and company. The rest of the islands can continue basking in mainly fine conditions, with nighttime temperatures chilling out nicely.
Here’s a few specific shoutouts:
For the Navua/Suva/Nausori crew: Cloudy periods are crashing the party today, but it’s cool at night, so grab a hoodie!
Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Main act is mainly fine! Enjoy that cool night air!
Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: It’s all smooth sailing with mainly fine weather and a cool night ambiance.
Tavua/Rakiraki: Mais oui, it’s mainly fine, and the night promises a cool embrace!
Natadradave/Korovou: More clouds and brief showers are back for an encore. And yes, it’ll be cool at night!
Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Can we get a round of applause for fine weather all around?
Labasa: Mostly clear skies, and yes, you guessed it, cool at night!
Savusavu: Clouds and brief showers are taking their turn, but cool vibes await at night.
Lau/Lomaiviti and Kadavu: Cloudy periods with brief shows of rain—stay classy, and enjoy the cool temperatures at night!
Last but not least, for our friends in Rotuma: A STRONG WIND WARNING is the headline act today. Expect those winds to be gusty, peaking around 20 to 25 knots. And the seas? Well, let’s just say they like to show off some roughness. But don’t worry, calm will eventually return to the waves!
As we look forward to Monday, it seems the clouds and showers aren’t ready to leave just yet, with cool night conditions continuing to steal the spotlight. Grab your umbrella (or your surfboard) and let’s make the best of it!
