Fiji Weather Forecast: Cloudy Periods with Brief Showers Across Interior and Eastern Islands, Moderate to Fresh Easterly Winds and Rough Seas; Strong Wind Warning in Rotuma Waters

Weather Update

Greetings from the National Weather Forecasting Center in Nadi, where the weather gods have spoken! As we sail through Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, let’s dive into the forecast, which promises a little bit of everything!

For the Fiji group, brace yourself for a mix of cloudy periods and brief showers, especially over the interior and eastern areas of Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, eastern Taveuni, and their small island buddies. The same goes for the interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu, Lau, and Lomaiviti—these locations are in for a splash of excitement! Elsewhere, enjoy a fine day, just watch out for the occasional rogue afternoon or evening shower that may not have received the “no interruptions” memo.

Don your best windbreaker as moderate to fresh easterly winds will be in the mix, and if you’re planning to take a dip, prepare for moderate to rough seas—not exactly the calm waters of a spa day!

Looking ahead to Friday: expect fine weather overall with a few brief showers trying to crash the party in Viti Levu (from Suva through Nausori up to Rakiraki), Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, and Taveuni. The rest? Just fine, thank you very much!

Now for some city-specific forecasts:

Navua/Suva/Nausori will enjoy cloudy periods with brief showers. Today’s max is a delightful 30°C, and tomorrow’s forecasted min is 23°C, maxing out again at 30°C. Friday looks great, except for those quirky brief showers – same temps as Thursday!

Sigatoka/Coral Coast, you’re in luck with a day of fine weather—today’s high is a comfy 31°C, warming slightly to 32°C on Friday!

Nadi/Lautoka/Ba, you’re practically on fire with today’s max of 32°C! Tomorrow will cool off to a min of 24°C and then jump to 33°C. Friday’s looking just as fine!

Tavua/Rakiraki shares your optimism with bright skies. Today’s high is set at 32°C, and tomorrow it’ll be comfortable at 23°C before peaking again at 33°C.

For those in Natadradave/Korovou, enjoy the cloud cover with brief showers today—expect a max of 30°C, tomorrow started low at 23°C but rising to 31°C. Friday should be better with just a few brief visitors.

Yasawa/Mamanuca, you’re looking at a high of 32°C today, dipping down to 22°C for a breezy tomorrow. Friday? Even better with a steady fine outlook!

Labasa also has a fine forecast with 32°C today and a minimum of 23°C forecasted tomorrow.

Savusavu, your overcast moments won’t dampen your spirits. Expect a high of 30°C with the same cozy minimum tomorrow.

Nabouwalu and Taveuni can both expect some cloudy fun with brief showers, maxing out at 31°C today and maintaining a lovely 22°C to 31°C combo through Friday.

The Lau and Lomaiviti group will also see clouds and brief showers with highs around 30°C today and tomorrow. Prepare for a fine end to your week!

And for Kadavu, expect sunshine mixed with afternoon sprinkles—your temperatures will stay comfy at 22°C to 31°C.

Lastly, a strong wind warning remains in effect for Rotuma. Picture this: easterly winds whipping around at 20 to 25 knots will bring some excitement! There’s a chance of cloudy moments with showers, aiming for a max of 32°C. Friday looks like it could throw in some thunder for good measure!

That’s the weather scoop, folks! Keep those umbrellas handy, and don’t forget to wear your sunscreen!
