Weather Update
Brought to you by the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi, this morning at the crack of dawn (5:30am) on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Here’s what to expect for the Fiji group as we sail majestically toward midnight:
Get ready for a cloudy day with some brief showers trying to sneak in over the interior and eastern parts of Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, eastern Taveuni, and those cheeky smaller islands nearby. Viti Levu is also in for a surprise shower party, especially from Serua-Namosi, zooming through Navua-Suva-Nausori to Tailevu North, along with Lau and Lomaiviti groups. The rest of us will enjoy mostly fine weather, unless you have plans outdoors this afternoon or evening, in which case you might get a few unsolicited showers. The easterly winds are feeling moderate to fresh today, and the sea is channeling its inner rollercaster, so hang onto your hats!
Now, looking ahead to Friday: The sun will try to shine down on us most of the time, except for the sneaky brief showers hanging out in the interior and eastern parts of Viti Levu (yes, that’s from Suva through Nausori up to Rakirakii), Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, and those social smaller islands, as well as Kadavu and the Lau and Lomaiviti groups. The winds will remain moderate to fresh, and the seas are still feeling a bit rocky.
