Weather Update
Greetings from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi, where it’s as cloudy as a teenager’s mood these days! As we dive into the weekend, here’s what you can expect for our lovely Fiji group up until midnight tomorrow.
We’re looking at a mixed bag of cloudiness and brief showers flirting with Navua, Suva, Nausori, Korovou, Rakiraki, and the southern regions of Bua and Cakaudrove, plus Kadavu and those charming nearby isles. If you’re in Lau or the Lomaiviti group, expect a similar cloudy affair, while the rest of the crowd will enjoy mainly fine conditions. Don’t forget to pack a sweater – it’s going to get cool at night!
The winds will be showing off at moderate to fresh speeds from the east, while the seas might feel a bit like they’re auditioning for a role in a blockbuster action movie with a rough performance, easing only to get rougher again by Monday. Hold onto your hats, folks!
Looking ahead to Monday, our friends in Navua, Suva, Nausori, Korovou, Rakiraki, and surrounding areas can anticipate more of those shy clouds and a sprinkle here and there, while everyone else enjoys the sun, sun, sun, except for those chilly night temperatures making a surprise guest appearance.
For specific regions:
– Navua / Suva / Nausori: Expect brief showers and cool nights. Monday continues the trend of cloud-induced showers.
– Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Mainly fine and cool at night. Monday will keep it pleasant.
– Nadi / Lautoka / Ba: Expect fine weather, followed by those chilly nights. It’s basically a fine weather party!
– Tavua/Rakiraki: Cloudy spells with brief showers in Rakiraki, but mainly fine otherwise. The cool nights will sneak up on you.
– Natadradave/Korovou: Cloudy periods with brief showers, followed by cool nights. Monday is more of the same.
– Yasawa/Mamanuca: Fine and cool at night. They should consider putting up a “No Clouds Allowed” sign!
– Labasa: Enjoy the fine conditions with those cool nights right on schedule. Monday is looking equally bright.
– Savusavu: Cloudy periods with some brief moisture. Keep your umbrella on speed dial!
– Lau/Lomaiviti: Cloudy vibes with brief showers rolling in, with Monday keeping up the mood.
– Kadavu: Get ready for cloudy periods with brief showers, as well as the cool nighttime chill continuing into Monday.
– Rotuma: A strong wind warning is in full swing, with a low-pressure system making things interesting. Winds will be strong and seas will be rough – definitely not a beach day!
