Situation: If you’re thinking of taking a boat out today, make sure your sales are not just metaphorical; the southeast winds are keeping things breezy over the Fiji group!

Today’s Forecast: Brace yourselves, rain-lovers! We’re expecting a sky covered in clouds with occasional showers over Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Eastern Macuata, Cakaudrove, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu and surrounding islets, as well as Taveuni, Qamea, Cikobia, and Yasawa. And don’t forget your umbrella—afternoon or evening thunderstorms are expected to join the party, bringing heavy downpours. Elsewhere, the sun will shine its warm smile, though don’t be surprised if an isolated shower sneaks in uninvited later.
Winds will be moderate and southeast, while seas are just moderate enough to remind you who’s boss.

Saturday Outlook: More clouds on the calendar! Showers are set to sprinkle down again over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Eastern Macuata, Cakaudrove, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, Taveuni, Qamea, and Cikobia. That fine weather we mentioned? It’s still hanging around for most places with just a few shy afternoon or evening showers expected. And while you’re cozied up at night, don’t be surprised if it gets a bit nippy, courtesy of those moderate to fresh southeast winds.

Specifics for the Regions:

For Navua/Suva/Nausori: Get ready for clouds with some showers—and that afternoon or evening thunderstorm we mentioned? Yeah, it’s coming with heavy falls expected. So maybe stay inside if you don’t want to achieve “drenched rat” status.

For Sigatoka/Coral Coast: The weather gods are in your favor with fine conditions, though a couple of isolated showers might try to rain on your parade later on.

For Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: Sunshine is on the agenda, apart from a possible surprise shower crashing the scene later.

For Tavua/Rakiraki: More of that lovely fine weather, but watch out for the sneaky isolated showers that may pop up.

For Natadradave/Korovou: Cloudiness leads to showers—yes, it sounds like a soap opera plot! Expect thunderstorms this afternoon or evening with a good chance of heavy rain.

For Yasawa/Mamanuca: Clouds will hover over Yasawa with more showers; otherwise, expect mainly fine weather with just the occasional elusive shower elsewhere.

For Labasa: The sun shines bright here too, with just a chance of isolated showers to keep things interesting.

For Savusavu: Expect cloudy skies with some showers and those dramatic afternoon thunderstorms making an appearance.

For Lau/Lomaiviti: More cloudy skies of mystery and some showers, alongside potential thunderstorms making the day electrifying!

For Kadavu: Clouds will be your companions today, with some showers and possible thunderstorms adding to the drama of the day.

For Rotuma: A moist easterly wind is keeping things lively, leading to fine weather interspersed with brief showers. The seas might be moderate to rough, so maybe think twice before launching that sailboat!

So there you have it, Fijians; the skies will be a mix of sunshine and showers, perfect weather for both sunbathers and rain dancers! Enjoy your day!
