Fiji Weather Forecast: Cloudy Conditions with Showers and Thunderstorms Across Fiji, Heavy Falls in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu with Northeasterly Winds and Moderate Seas

Weather Update
Brought to you live from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at a bright and early 5:30 AM on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Alright, folks! It seems we’ve got a weak trough of low pressure lying around, probably looking for a place to nap, while a friendly, moist northeasterly wind flows through our beautiful islands like it owns the place!

Here’s the scoop for the Fiji group before the clock strikes midnight: Expect cloudy spells with a few splashes of showers in the Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, and their miniature island friends, along with the Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu, and those smaller islands nearby. Everybody else can expect a fair amount of sunshine, only to be topped off with some classic afternoon or evening showers — just like Mother Nature’s way of giving you a surprise shower dance!

Don’t forget your umbrellas today, especially if you’re on Viti Levu or Vanua Levu where you might hear some thunderous applause from the sky. Winds will be blowing at a moderate pace, and the seas will be reasonably moderate, too—so you might want to steer clear of organized swimming races.

Looking ahead to Thursday: More of the same! The clouds are still hanging around with some showers in those same regions. The rest of you can expect another day of sunshine followed by the usual suspect—afternoon or evening showers or maybe a thunderstorm for good measure. Prepare for moderate to fresh easterly winds, and just a reminder: those seas might get a bit rough, so don’t take Grandma’s boat out for a spin unless you’re ready for a ride!

Now, let’s break it down by some local hotspots:

For Navua, Suva, and Nausori: Expect cloudy spells with some showers. Temperature will drop to a cozy 22 degrees in the morning and rise to a warm 30 by the afternoon. How about that!

For Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Fine weather will bless you, except when it interrupts for some afternoon showers and possibly a thunderstorm like an uninvited party guest! Min: 23, Max: 30.

For Nadi, Lautoka, Ba: Your day looks great too, apart from those occasional thunderstorm surprises. Min: 23, Max: 32.

For Tavua/Rakiraki: Pretty much the same forecast here — take cover for those afternoon thunderstorms. Min: 23, Max: 31.

For the lovely Balmy Yasawa and Mamanuca group: Enjoy the fine weather, but don’t forget your rain gear for the afternoon. Min: 22, Max: 32.

For Labasa: Sun’s out most of the time, also welcoming afternoon noise from thunderstorms. Min: 23, Max: 32.

And don’t forget our friends in Savusavu, Nabouwalu, and Taveuni—cloudy with showers all around, so stay snug!

For Rotuma, the northeasterly wind keeps you company with brief showers and a cozy 24-32 degree range.

So, stay dry, enjoy the sunshine where you can, and keep an eye on those clouds! Mother Nature loves to keep us on our toes!
