Weather Update
Brought to you by the pro-weather folks at the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi, we’ve got the scoop on the sky’s shenanigans.

So, as we peer into the crystal ball—which, in this case, is our reliable weather radar—we see a trough of low pressure cozying up on the western side of the Fiji group. Think of it as the weather’s way of throwing a damp blanket over our beautiful islands. The clouds and showers are getting quite chatty, particularly over the western parts of the country and are arriving with a moist northwest wind, so keep those umbrellas handy!

Here’s what to expect before we say good night tomorrow:
– Expect some cloudy periods and a chance of showers over Natadola, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki, Yasawa, and Mamanuca group—basically, a wet party.
– A bit of fine weather will roll in to save the day for Bua, Lekutu, Dreketi, Seaqaqa, Labasa, Namuka, Udu Point, Wailevu, Vaturova, Saqani, Taveuni, and their tiny island buddies—but they might be interrupted by some brief showers.
– Elsewhere? Well, expect a sprinkle here and there, but the sun will likely be around to say hello in the afternoon or evening.
– There might also be some isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms waltzing through most areas, bringing with them the potential for heavy falls. Not to alarm anyone, but keep an eye out, as localised heavy rain could lead to flash flooding in those cozy, low-lying spots.
– Oh, and the winds will be doing a dance from moderate northwest to northeast while the seas are also moderately behaving.

Looking ahead to Wednesday, expect more of the same—showers over Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki, and several other locations. Just imagine those clouds being drama queens — they can be absolutely fine, but always have an eye out for those afternoon thunderstorms.

For our beloved towns:
– Navua, Suva, and Nausori: Fine for now, but get ready for some late-day showers and possibly a thunderstorm making a grand entrance.
– Natadradave and Korovou: Same song, different tune! Expect some afternoon action in the form of showers and thunderstorms.
– Sigatoka and Coral Coast: Cloudy spells may create a mood, but the showers are just an afternoon delight.
– Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, and Rakiraki: Cloudy with sassy showers to seize the day. Showers also like to linger around.
– Labasa: Fine weather where you think you might have a clear day—unless you run into a brief snag of afternoon thunderstorms.
– Savusavu: All quiet on the western front, but be prepared for those sneaky late showers.
– Nabouwalu: Good vibes up until those pesky afternoon showers crash the party!
– Taveuni: Clouds are starting to form their very own party, so keep an eye on the chill.
– Lau and Lomaiviti: Cloudy with a chance of surprises!
– Kadavu: Things are looking fine, but those late-day showers might just pop up uninvited.
– Rotuma: With a delightful northerly wind blowing through, enjoy the fine weather with some brief rounds of showers.

Today’s temperatures have got a nice warm hug: Max around 30 or so—with tomorrow’s min hanging around 24, reaching up to 31.

So there you have it, folks! Stay dry, stay cool, and don’t forget your umbrellas just in case the clouds decide to throw a tantrum!
