Get ready for a bit of weather drama! A weak trough of low pressure is hanging out just north of us, bringing along some clouds and showers that want to make a move south and visit the Northern and Eastern divisions starting tomorrow. It seems like they’re planning a reunion that could last for the next few days! Meanwhile, we’re enjoying a moist embrace from the east to southeast winds, because who doesn’t like a little moisture in the air?

Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:

Today: Expect some gloomy cloud cover and showers, especially if you’re in Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Eastern Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, and the neighboring smaller islands (let’s call them ‘the usual suspects’). There’s also a chance for those pesky isolated heavy showers and some thunderstorms. The rest of the islands? Well, you might experience a sunny break, sprinkled with the occasional afternoon or evening shower – think ‘partly sunny with a side of wet.’

Winds will be moderate to fresh, and watch out for those gusty surprises in areas with heavy falls and thunderstorms. Seas? Moderate to rough – better buckle up your lifejackets if you’re heading out!

Tomorrow: Showers will be rolling in and out, with the thunder making a special appearance again in Serua-Namosi and all those cozy areas mentioned earlier. Heavy rain? Oh, you bet! Other places should stay pretty fine, aside from those pesky afternoon and evening showers that just can’t help but crash the party. Expect moderate to fresh winds with a bit of a gust in the stormy areas and a repeat of those moderate to rough seas.

And now, a peek into Sunday’s weather crystal ball: Occasional showers and maybe a few thunderstorms will continue to entertain those residing in Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and their neighboring friends. Elsewhere, you can expect partly cloudy skies with just a hint of rainy charm in the air. Winds will stay consistent, and the seas? Let’s just say they might be a bit moody.
