Weather Update
It’s that time again! Grab your umbrellas and your favorite raincoat because the weather has decided to throw a little tea party, complete with occasional showers and thunderstorms across the Fiji Group until tomorrow evening. A harmless trough of low pressure is causing a bit of a kerfuffle in the sky, and Mother Nature is letting loose those clouds and showers with the finesse of a toddler in a candy store.
For our friends in Vanua Levu, Taveuni, and those cozy little islands nearby, brace yourselves for some occasional showers along with the potential of heavier falls and an impressive display of thunderstorms. And let’s not forget our pals on eastern Viti Levu including Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Naitasiri-Tailevu-Ra, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups – you get the same party favors!
Don’t worry, though! After the sky’s little rant, things should ease up a bit tomorrow. Elsewhere in Fiji, expect partly cloudy skies with showers and possibly a few thunderstorms trying to make a dramatic entrance in the afternoon or evening – because who doesn’t enjoy a grand finale?
Heads up for those living in low-lying areas! Persistent heavy falls could lead to flash flooding, so perhaps don’t wear your brand-new shoes in case you need to wade through some puddles!
As for sea enthusiasts, keep that surfboard handy as we’re looking at moderate to rough seas.
Looking ahead to Monday, expect some cloud cover, especially over eastern Viti Levu, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups, with a sprinkle of showers here and there. The wind is feeling a bit feisty too, blowing in from the east like it’s got somewhere to be!
Here’s a sneak peek at the temperatures for tomorrow:
– Navua / Suva / Nausori: Min 23, Max 27.
– Natadradave / Korovou: Min 23, Max 27.
– Sigatoka / Coral Coast: Min 23, Max 29.
– Nadi / Lautoka / Ba: Min 23, Max 29.
– Tavua / Rakiraki: Min 23, Max 30.
A big shoutout to our islands in the Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, who will take everything in stride with a lovely mix of clouds and those occasional cheeky showers.
And just to keep everyone laughing in the rain—don’t take weather too seriously; even the clouds need to vent sometimes! Stay dry and enjoy the splashing fun!
