Fiji Weather Bulletin: Trough of Low Pressure Brings Widespread Showers, Thunderstorms and Flood Risk Across Fiji Islands

Weather Forecast Update
Brought to you from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi, at the leisurely hour of 7:30 PM on Friday, November 14, 2025.

So, there’s a familiar face in the mix—a trough of low pressure has decided to pay us a visit, bringing along some clouds and showers, like an uninvited guest at your cozy gathering. This weather pattern is set to hang around for the next few days, so roll out the welcome mat!

For the Fiji group forecast until tomorrow midnight:
Expect occasional showers over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, and some of their smaller island friends, Kadavu, Lau, and Lomaiviti. It may rain cats and dogs at times, so if you’re planning any outdoor adventures, keep an umbrella handy! Be prepared for localized heavy showers that could lead to a spontaneous water feature in low-lying areas—talk about a surprise swimming pool!

Elsewhere, it will be partly cloudy with those familiar isolated afternoon or evening showers and possibly some thunderstorm theatrics.

Moderate southeasterly winds and seas are keeping it fun but not too wild out there.

Looking towards Sunday: The rain is on its way back, heavy at times along with a few thunderstorms working their magic over those previously mentioned areas. Remember that local flooding could turn your walk into an unintended wading outing!
