Weather Forecast
Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 3:30 PM on Friday, November 28, 2025.
Situation: There’s a low-pressure trough just hanging out east of us—think of it like that relative who overstays their welcome. They’re bringing some clouds and showers to the Eastern and Northern parts of Fiji, so prepare your umbrellas if you haven’t done so already!
Forecast until midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
We’re looking at cloudy periods with showers crashing the party over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Kadavu, and their neighboring islands, along with the Northern Division, Lau, and Lomaiviti groups. Isolated heavy showers may decide to join in, bringing a little unexpected drama!
From tomorrow, those showers will really cozy up in the Northern Division, especially around Taveuni and its smaller friends. Elsewhere, expect fair skies, except for the occasional sprinkle in the afternoon or evening. Also, we have moderate southeast to northwesterly winds; basically, just breezy enough to mess up your perfectly styled hair. Seas will be moderate, so maybe leave the surfing for another day.
Outlook for Sunday: Expect more fine weather with just a side order of brief showers over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri, Cakaudrove, Southern Bua, Lau, Lomaiviti groups, Taveuni, and Kadavu. Meanwhile, Viti Levu might sizzle with a chance of afternoon or evening thunderstorms. The wind’s still blowing gently, and the seas remain at a moderate level.
Now, let’s break down the local forecast:
For Navua/Suva/Nausori: Cloudy with some showers for tomorrow, and temperatures lounging between 23°C and 30°C. On Sunday, fine weather will return with brief showers sprinkled in—same temperatures.
For Sigatoka/Coral Coast: Tomorrow looks fine, except for the sneaky isolated afternoon or evening shower; Min: 24, Max: 30. Sunday? Just a repeat of that fine weather with a chance of those sneaky showers.
For Nadi/Lautoka/Ba: Fine weather is on the agenda, with an isolated afternoon or evening shower crashing the party. Tomorrow’s temperatures: Min: 24, Max: 33. On Sunday, expect a cozy repeat!
For Tavua/Rakiraki: Fine except for an isolated shower trying its luck in the afternoon/evening. Tomorrow’s numbers? Min: 24, Max: 31 and on Sunday you may see those numbers slightly raise.
For Natadradave/Korovou: Cloudy with showers tomorrow, temperatures will sit at Min: 23, Max: 29. Sunday is looking bright with just some brief disruptions.
For Yasawa/Mamanuca: Expect fine with just isolated showers trying to get some attention. Tomorrow, temperatures Min: 23, Max: 31, and Sunday will keep it similar.
For Labasa: Cloudy periods with showers, and watch out, because they might turn into frequent visitors starting tomorrow. Min: 24, Max: 31 tomorrow, with Sunday looking nicer but still with the occasional sprinkle.
For Savusavu: Similar to Labasa, you can expect cloudy periods and showers with increasing frequencies.
For Nabouwalu: It’s the same old story here with clouds and showers, likely becoming frequent.
For Taveuni: The cloud game continues with showers who will want to stay a while longer.
For Lau and Lomaiviti: Cloudy with showers appearing, same weather dance as above!
For Kadavu: Cloudy with showers too but don’t worry, instead of permanent guests, they’ll just be brief visitors.
For Rotuma: A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE! So don’t take out the surfboard just yet. We’re talking occasional heavy rain, maybe a thunderstorm just for fun. Tomorrow’s forecast is calling for Min: 24, Max: 30, with Sunday looking similarly cloudy with brief showers at least.
Stay dry and enjoy the weather, or at least pretend to!
