Situation:
A trough of low pressure bringing cloud and showers is affecting the Northern parts of the group. Another weak trough is edging in from the southwest and is expected to affect the entire Fiji group until tomorrow. A mainly east to southeast wind flow is sweeping across the country.
Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
– Expect occasional showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the Northern Division, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the Yasawa group, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, and the Eastern and interior of Viti Levu (Rakiraki through Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu North-Naitasiri, Interior Nadroga/Navosa/Ra & Serua-Namosi).
– Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low-lying and flood-prone areas.
– Elsewhere, cloudy periods with some showers and possible isolated thunderstorms. Isolated heavy falls are likely.
– Winds: Moderate east to southeast.
– Seas: Moderate.
Outlook for Tuesday:
– Occasional showers for Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra-Rakiraki, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Cakaudrove and Southern Bua provinces, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands. Isolated heavy falls possible.
– Elsewhere, partly cloudy with afternoon or evening showers.
– Winds: Moderate to fresh east to southeast.
– Seas: Moderate to rough.
For Navua / Suva / Nausori:
– Forecast: Occasional showers and possible isolated thunderstorms. Isolated heavy falls likely.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba:
– Forecast: Cloudy periods with some showers and possible isolated thunderstorms.
