Weather Update
Greetings from the National Weather Forecasting Centre, where we keep an ever-watchful eye on the skies! Let’s dive into what Mother Nature has in store for us in the Fiji region.
As we cruise into the next day, a southeasterly breeze is coming in to spice things up. Plus, a little low-pressure trouble-maker is expected to set up shop just north of us. But don’t worry, we’re not talking a full-on storm; more like a pesky friend who stops by unannounced.
Now, here’s what you can anticipate before the clock strikes midnight tomorrow: Expect some cloud cover with a few brief showers over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Naitasiri-Tailevu North, Ra-Rakiraki, and parts of Cakaudrove and southern Bua province. That’s a mouthful! Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, as well as Kadavu, Lau, and Lomaiviti, will join the party with some clouds and sprinkles. The rest of us will bask in sunshine with a splash of afternoon or evening showers, just to keep you guessing.
Hold onto your umbrellas, folks—afternoon or evening thunderstorms are looming over Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, and they might just bring some heavy rain that could lead to small-scale waterfalls in low-lying areas. Go ahead and practice your rain dance so you can enjoy the show!
For the winds, expect moderate breezes whispering southeasterly secrets, while the seas remain moderately active—perfect for those adventurous souls looking to test their sea legs.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, the clouds will continue their drama with a few showers over the same regions mentioned earlier. Elsewhere, remain ready for those afternoon or evening sprinkly surprises and sporadic thunderstorms.
